　　Ultra-conservative parents grapple with their oldest children's independence and life choices. The show highlights the contentious relationship between the mother and her son's new wife. The new daughter-in-law, Olivia, introduces her husband to wine and decadent desserts. While the parents brag about their unreasonable restrictions such as no sugar, no secular music, no traveling, no cell phones, and no traditional education, Olivia becomes a family favorite by indulging her husband's siblings in all that is forbidden.
